NYX auto eye pencil in Black

You'll be wondering what's up with me and NYX lately...I recently bought some things from Cherry Culture so that's the reason that I've been showing so many NYX products. Today I'll be showing you the Auto Eye pencil.

If I could say one thing to this pencil that would be : "I.HATE.YOU" Actually that's three things. Seriously girls this is not good. It's not awful to the point I wanna toss it BUT I don't like it at all. The color pay-off is minimal, I can't line my waterline, it creases and smudges. They only days I use this is when I;m bored to do my eye makeup and want to give my eyes a boost. I line my upper and lower lashlines and smudge. But that's about it. Don't even think about trying to use this when you have done your eye makeup properly!

Le Good

  • Cruelty free
  • I like that I don't ahev to sharpen it
  • Cheap
Le Bad
  • No color pay-off whatsoever
  • Creases
  • Smudges
  • Ruins eye makeup
  • Does not stay on the water line
YOU DON'T NEED THIS.

Alaeis

NYX eyeshadow monos:Red Bean Pie& Golden

Red Bean Pie: Is a somewhat reddish kind brown with a tad of purple in it. It's really unique and I think it would look good on any skintone.
Golden:Obviously a golden color but with a tiny bit of orange inside it; not very unique but I love it!

These eyeshadows are soft, extremely pigmented and butter smooth. I love how they feel on my skin.

Le Good

  • Soft, pigmented, amazing feel.
  • Cheap
  • Cruelty free
  • Summer colors

Le Bad

  • Golden not so unique
HOW MUCH TO YOU NEED THEM? I'd say Red Bean Pie 100% and Golden around 70% simply because many people might have something similar.

NYX Mega Shine lipgloss in Spunge cake review

One of the nicest lipglosses I ever had. It's pigmented and smooth to apply. It smells really candy, fresh like to me yet some people might not like it. The shade is perfect for all skin types; a natural, bronze color. At 6$ this enormous lipgloss is a steal. ; )

OVERVIEW

  • Cheap
  • Plenty of product in the tube
  • Nice pigmentation and color
  • Fresh smell that some people might not like
How much do you need it? 100% if you're OK with the smell, I'm definitely gonna try some more shades.

NYX new Fly with me mascara

When I heard GossMakeupartist say that plastic mascara brushes are better than the usual I wanted to try one And what else could be a better canditate than one of NYX's newest mascaras?
NYX fly with me mascara is good but I expected it to be better especially after the Atomic Volume tester I got from Sephora. That tester blew me away. This mascara, however, did not.
The brush is thicker at the end and gets thinner. It reminds me of a Givency mascara I once wanted to try. The formula is nice, nothing spectacular.  After 2 coats my lashes are fuller and thicker but not dramatic and black like I want them to be.
With this mascara not proving to be my HG I'm still in search for the perfect one.To tell you the truth Lancome Drama is my HG but since I found out Lancome tests on animals I immediatly stopped using it. Pity. : ( I guess I have to wait until 2013 when L'oreal goes cruelty free.

OVERVIEW

  • Nice packaging and brush tip.
  • Gives natural looking lashes.
  • Does not make them dramatically fuller, thicker and longer.
  • For 11$ I'd say it's decent.
How much do you need it? Around 20-30%. Sorry. I reaaaaly wanted to like it.

Until next time,
xoxo

NYX HD Studio Foundation

Lately everybody is raving about HD foundations. Somewhat affected by bloggers and Youtubers urging us to buy  Makeup forever HD I decided to buy a cheaper alternative.(I love NYX anyways) So here it is. NYX HD Studio Photogenic Foundation.

The bottle is light and doesn't look cheap or high end either. The foundation is really nice and creamy, almost velvety. It blends like a dream. I'd say coverage is medium and buildable but it didn't cover a spot Ihad on my cheek completely. It gives you a nice dewy glow but it's not matte; if you're oily like me you need to set it.

OVERVIEW
  • Nice, soft texture
  • Photographs well (HD effect)
  • It says it reduces lines and wrinkles(I have none so I can't really say :/ )
  • Gives dewy glow
  • Medium coverage
  • Cruelty free (Yeay!)
  • Paraben and talc free
  • Cheap (15$)
  • The bottle is so-so
  • Needs setting/not matte
How much you need it? It's a really good and cheap foundation so I'd say around 70-80% maybe even more. I'm a bit biased cause it's not tested on animals. :P

Until next time,
xoxo

NYX Cream blush in Glow

I recently ordered some NYX products from their site and today I'm going to review the cream blush. This stuffis simply amazing! The pigmentation is phenomenal, the color is just right for every skintone, it blends great.
Only thing I have to say is that you got to be careful or else you'll look like a clown. A rub that high on my cheekbones and it lasts all day. For only 6$ it's a steal girls!
PICS:

OVERVIEW

  • Insanely pigmented
  • This can be bad if you're a begginer with makeup
  • Makes you look "flushed"
  • Cheap
  • Everyday color
  • Personally I love the pot it comes in
How much you need it? Absolutely 100%. It's basic makeup.

Until next time,
xoxo

ΝΥΧ Box of smokey look Collection (Classic, Purple,Bronze,Natural smokey)

Hello, everyone sorry it has taken me sooo long to make a new post.
Today I'll be reviewing a NYX palette that contains all 4 smokey kits, and other stuff.

When you first look at the palette it's nothing big. I would compare it to a small book. The packadging is sturdy and simple. As you can see it's full with my fingerprints :P

Opening the palette you see 4 rows. Now this is described as a palette that simply has all the smokey looks together but I'm telling you, the original smokey palettes DO NOT have that many colors. I have classic smokey and bronze smokey and they are not like this. The shadows are very good and pigmented. Despite that I find myself not using the top row one just because they are not in a pan and the colors kind mix together which I hate. Good color selection.

Close ups of the shadows.
Purple

Classic

Bronze

Natural
As you can see the natural smokey colors very much resemble the colors of Too Faced naked palette.

Now the blushes are pigmented but they just don't blend very well on my skin. Especially the middle one is waaaaaay to red. The contour colors are just fine.

The lipsticks are nice but nothing special. Not very pigmented expect one or two.

Now I was so excited about the glitter yet it turned out awful! It's pretty much vaseline with glitter on top.>:(

Proof the glitter is awful

Proof the correctors are awful.

OVERVIEW

  • Shadows pigmented
  • Wide selection of colors
  • So-so blushes and contouring
  • Hmm with the lipsticks
  • Awful glitter and correctors
How much do you need this? Percentage wise I'd say around 60% and only for the eyeshadows.
Is it worth 22$? Mieh, probably not.
Until next time,
 Alaeis
